Is It Safe And Useful To Put Braces At The Age Of 25?

Hi Doctor,
I'm 25 year old ,female. I have a question my 2 front teeth is long and jutt out a bit as mother has it,I'm thinking put up braces ,Is it safe at this age? and will it be useful ,I mean can braces make my teeth straight ast this age,If so how long it takes?
