Is It Safe & Effective To Take Glimulin To Control Glucose Levels?
Hi Doctor, Last two years i am using Glimulin 2mg in morning before meal and taking 1mg tablet before dinner everyday but randomly i am checking the glucose level and not seen huge varience at all. Now i would like to know what are side effects may raise.
Thanks for contacting HCM. Glimulin is a good and usually safe drug for diabetes. You can continue to take it without getting much concerned. Remember every medicine has some side effects, but that should not deter us from using them to our advantage. Also remember primary mode of diabetes control is diet and exercise and not medicines. Medicines should be added only when diet and exercise fail to control diabetes. Usual side effects of this drug are stomach pain, nausea, jaundice, fatigue, easy bleeding or bruising, fever, sore throat, mood changes, unusual or sudden weight gain, seizures and hypoglycaemia(or too much low sugar) leading to sweating, shaking, palpitations, hunger, blurring of vision, dizziness. Regards
