Is It Safe For 7 Month Old Baby To Get Chest X-ray?

My 7 months old baby is suffering from Chest congestion since few days. Doctor advised for Nebulization and also for a chest X-ray. I have been using the Nebulizer for him for 4 days and he seems fine now. I chest X-ray required? I am worried beause he is too young for all these. please suggest.
