Is It Safe For My Toddler To Take Levolin Syrup?

Hi my is son is 4years old ..since his childhood he was givenLevolin syrup 1mg and Levolin plus syrrup for his cough ..but when I recently googled the medicine it shows it is not Indicated for children below 6years .. I am lil concerned as my child is only 4..will it affect him ?
