Is It Safe To Be Exposed To Infection During Pregnancy?

I'm 14 weeks pregnant and just got over a nasty cold two weeks ago. Two people in my (small) office have gotten sick this week and one has the flu. They are not staying home and now I'm worried about being exposed to thier illnesses. Would it be safer for me to go home.

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion as the pregnancy is a low immunity condition there will be predisposition to infections easily. So there might be chances for you to contact infection. So better is stay away from them.Symptomatic treatment for cold is safe to take in pregnancy.Dont worry.Relax.Take good nutritional diet and vitamin C rich food to strengthen the immunity and for proper growth of fetus.
