Is It Safe To Continue With Pylokit For Stomach Gurgling And Diarrhea?

hi doc ,I went to hospital last week & I had some test for H.pylory & it turned reactive.I was put on the pylokit for one month( 4 tabs to be taken once) I have now taken it for one week & I still have the same pain & my stomach has been making the same sound like I want to have a diarrhea especialy in the morning. Should I finish the medicine or can go for further tests & if yes which tests?

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
H.Pylori infection needs to be treated only by a complete course of Pylokit. Hence you need to complete the entire course.
You may experience some side effects like stomach gurgling, metallic taste in the mouth and diarrhea due to drugs in Pylokit. Usually, these symptoms subside after quite sometime.
Diarrhea can be overcome by taking Lactobacillus tablets or sachets twice daily.
Usually, further tests are not necessary. You yourself will start feeling better once you complete the course of medications.
