Is It Safe To Do Elective C-section Delivery During 38 Gestational Weeks?
I am now fetal gestational age is 36week and as per my LMP 35weeks ... I am having essential hypertension and this is my second pregnancy at the age of 35..duing the scan there is a single cord around the baby and baby had come in the cephalic presentation... My BP is also at around 140/95.. My first pregnancy was c section.. Can I go for 38 gestational weeks elective c section delivery.. There will not be any problem to my baby.. Health issues.. I am very worried... Or should I wait till 39weeks.. Pls advise Thanks
- Elective C-section is safe at 38 weeks. There is no indication that you have to wait for 39 weeks. - Bear in mind the usual risk of C-section that your OBGYN will go through when taking consent for the procedure.
