Is It Safe To Fly If Ears Feel Blocked And Aching?
My ears feel blocked and I have a dull ache more prominent when sitting or standing. I have been on antibiotics for 4 days with no improvement. I can feel some bubbling and my heart beat in my ear. I have to fly on tuesday. Today I tried a nasal spray called. I do not have a cold - I had one on OCtober. My ears have felt fluidy since then but not ached till recently. Can I do any harm by flying
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain and blockage of ears which could be due to accumulation of ear wax and eustachian tube dysfunction. I would suggest you to take nasal sprays and do warm saline gargles. You should take antibiotic Levofloxacin in combination with antiallergic medication. Flying could be dangeroud to you as it will creat more negative pressure. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get otoscopic examination done and start treatment after proper prescription. Avoid touching or pricking it with any sharp object.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
