Is It Safe To Fly If Suffering From Chiari Malformation?

Hi, My name is Jenny. I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation in Dec of 2009. I have a history of migrains pretty much as far back as early teens. I understand in reading here on this website that there are different types of Chiari Malformation. I am not sure which one I have, only that my brain has droped 6-7. My question is this: I live in Kissimmee Fl. and want to fly to North Carolina in a couple of weeks and can't get a straight answer from any of my doctors if it is safe. What do you think?
