Is It Safe To Fly While Having Tear In Retina?

I am being treated for a BRVO, experienced a vitreous hemorrhage after Ozurdex injection, not a spec of white to be seen in my eye, the blood has reabsorb nicely in a week, vision improving, however, doctor reports a lot of blood still in there and can t clearly see if I have a tear in my retina or not. I informed him that I will be flying in a week and he said I should be okay, from what I have read, should there be a tear in my retina its not advisable to fly..... A bit concerned with this...

It seems from the history that you are having retinal tear. Flying will not cause any problem while having this problem. However you should avoid lifting heavy weights or physical exercises while you are having this problem.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
