Is It Safe To Give Advent Syrup For Fever In Children?

Hi sir good morning My son is having fever from past 4 days. We use to give hi crocin ds 7-8ml 4 times a day. Its get reduce and after 4-5hrs the temp level increases. We have consulted dr yesterday and she has given syop advent 475mg for 6 days. pls suggest
