Is It Safe To Give Aptivate Syrup To Increase Appetite In An Infant?

Hi, My son is 10 and a half months old. He does not eat anything. I have taken him to the doctor and he suggested me to give him Aptivate syrup 5ml Thrice a day. But one of my friend told me that it is not safe to give this syrup to infants uder 12 months. Can you please suggest if it is safe?
