General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

CYP-L contains both cyproheptadine and tricholine citrate that acts as an appetite stimulant and used in the treatment of anorexia or loss of appetite and in the promoting of weight gain by blocking a neurochemical called serotonin that can reduce appetite. This medication also can be used to relieve constipation and to treat allergic symptoms. It should be used in children above 1 year of age and more.

It is a very safe and effective medication for the children if it is given in the dose and duration as directed by the prescribing doctor. On the other hand, Ducloflex contains bisacodyl that is used in the treatment of constipation. But without consulting your child's doctor, this medication shouldn't be used.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
