Is It Safe To Give Meftal P 12 Hourly To A 2 Year Old Child?

Hi my son is 2.3 yrs and his weight is around 12 KGS n he has very high fever had given calop250 2.5 ml every 6 hourly but the temperature was 103 so I m giving him meftal p every 12 hourly n calpol 250 every 6 hourly is it safe to give meftal so frequently

Yes meftal-p is safe but if fever is not subsiding you have to give him syrup cefixime 50 mg/ 5 ml twice daily or syrup droxyl 250 mg/ 5 ml twice daily with syrup calpol 125 mg/ 5 ml or syrup paracetamol 125 mg/ 5 ml every 6-8 hourly. Do cold sponging to reduce the temperature of his body.
