Is It Safe To Give Meftal For Fever In Children?

Hi doctor.My baby is of 2.5 yrs old suffering wt fever fm 3 days, his fever gets raised up to 104 f, and he also suffered with shivering for 5 min and high fever , today i gav him maftel so now he don t hav fever. But maftel is not good for normal fever, i hav done his blood test for maleria, dengue cbc bt all report r normal... pls suggest me what to do

Hi,
There is no harm giving Meftal for fever.
You can give paracetamol as well as and when required.
As all reports are normal, it might be having viral infection.
If fever continued after few days then go for Widal test to rule out typhoid.
give him plenty of water and keep him well hydrated.
Give light diet.
Ok and take care.
