Is It Safe To Go For C Section Despite Having Double Loop Of Cord Around Fetal Neck?

Hello.. Currently I am in 39th week of pregnancy and doctor told that there is a doubleloop of cord seen overlying fetal neck at around 37 weeks and is still exiting. She confirmed that we have to go for Csection and should complete it in a week from now. Can you please advice if we can try for normal delivery by inducing for pains.

hi,
I can understand your concern.
Persistent cord around neck demands a cissarian delivery to avoid fetal risk. So in given conditions that remains an ideal management of your delivery.
At the most you can ask for repeat USG scan before cissarian. If the cord is still in the same position, you should not think of normal delivery.
Thanks
