Is It Safe To Go For Vaginal Delivery After A C- Section?

Hello doc, am 34 yrs old, 5.4", weight 66 kgs, now 28 weeks pregnant for second time. First was a C section, reason being delayed first phase, he was 2.75 kgs when born, now he is 5 yrs old. Is it possible to try for normal delivery (VBAC) or C section is the only option. Also to mention I have been tested HBSaG positive this time, which doc says is inactive. My hubby n son are negative. Pls advice.

Hi,

Welcome to healthcare magic. I have read your question.

I would like to reply as below:

1) Yes. You can try for it.

2) This is called VBAC.

3) your obstetrician needs to assess your pelvis and report if its adequate for normal delivery.

If you have any further queries, let me know so that I can help you much better.

Wish you good health.
