Is It Safe To Go In A Chlorine Pool For Swimming Practice With Infected Ears?

Hi I pierced my own ears and they got infected. I took the earrings out and now my ears are swollen, red, and have puss inside. They have gone down a lot since yesterday. I was wondering if it was ok to go in a chlorine pool because I have swim practice. Thank you

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

In reference to your query regarding swimming in chlorinated water having ear infection is safe or not. Here I would like to tell you that swimming during ear infection should never be permitted irrespective of nature of water because in the treatment of ear infection our first line of action is to keep ear clean and dry.

Moisture ad humidity always creates problem in treatment of ear infection. Therefore my answer for your query is to avoid swimming till your ear is infected.

Regards.
