Is It Safe To Have Ciplactin Tablets During Pregnancy?
Hi Doc! Im in need of gaining weight ASAP & i have been trying for a baby since my last loss 2012. Now i think i have concieved due to the fact that, 5 days after my periods i have been experiencing brownish spot & had a heavy flow once. My periods are always normal, but its almost three days & no periods and i feel bloated and i urinate more than before. So i would like to know if i could use ciplactin tablets now as i think im pregnant, does it have any side effects?

Hi, I understand your query. Actually, to be healthy with good hemoglobin level, optimum weight & without any illness in near past is ideal pre conceptional condition for a wishful mother. You are correct in saying that Ciplactin is useful for weight gain. But increased appetite is it's side effect. It is mainly an anti allergic drug which also causes drowsiness & some times weakness too.I feel it should be avoided in first three months of pregnancy. Instead you go to your doctor, get your pregnancy confirmed, get full physical check up/investigations - Take the medicines prescribed along with a healthy lifestyle with nourishing food/frequent & small servings of food/exercises/sound sleep/ positive thoughts . Thanks.
