Is It Safe To Have Prednisolone During Pregnancy?

hi doctor,im10th week pregnant and since 2 weeks im suffering from dry cough.its very hard to cough,and im scared to take medicines.but atlast i couldnt bear it up and had anti biotic cefalexin500mg 3times a day for4weeks and chlorpheniramine syrup,but still iv got the bad coughi want to know whether these madicines are safe for my child and is it ok to take prednisolone as last option(i had a miscarriage before and this is my 1st baby after4years of subfirtility,so please give me the best answer)

Hi, before you go for prednisolone do all your blood reports and xray chest be done. You should do tests for tuberculosis (sputum AFB). Your line of treatment can better be decided after tests.
