Is It Safe To Have A Baby With Hormonal Imbalance?
Hi. I am 33 years old, and I have a 5 years old boy. My question is that I have removed jadelle implant in October 2012 but since then I have irregular periods, I try to have another baby but it still hard to me.My gyneco told me that it is because of hormonal imbalance.he gave me clomid to take on 3rd day and lutenly to take on 16 day. Before I had a baby, I had regular periods. I worried to not have a second baby. Please help me.
Hello and welcome to HCM, The history of irregular periods along with prescription of clomid suggests that you are suffering from polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). PCOS is characterized by absence of regular ovulation due to lack of dominant follicle in the ovaries. Along with this, there is increase in level of testosterone and luteinizing hormone (LH). Due to absence of ovulation, conception does not occur. Continue the treatment and get regular follicular scan, The follicles of the ovary can be monitored regularly. Once the dominant follicle is formed, and ruptures, intercourse can be planned and conception will take place.
