Is It Safe To Have Bilateral Salpingectomy Post Third Childbirth?

I m thinking of having bilateral salpingectomy after my third child as an alternative to having my tubes tied. What will happen during ovulation now that the eggs will have nowhere to travel? Are there any major long term dangers to this procedure? Thank you.
