Is It Safe To Have Non Penetrative Sex While Suffering From Syphilis?

I have received a penicillin injection 3 weeks ago for syphilis. My question is that I am starting to have a serious relationship with someone I am seeing. We have discussed my diagnosis. I do have some gentital sores from the infection that are slowly healing so we will not be having intercourse. I would like to know if touching and kissing is still okay to do. Please advise. Thank you

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your intentions.
Even though you have taken medications for Syphilis, until all the wound heals, it is not advisable to have even non-penetrative sex.
This is because, some amount of residual bacteria will be infective in nature till it heals completely.
Kindly give sufficient time for the disease to be cured completely so that you don't carry any risk of re-infection.
