Is It Safe To Increase Septra Dosage Beyond Twice Daily For Prostatitis With Pus Around A Catheter?

just had a catheter early this morning. I have had prostititis 3 times over the last 15 years. PSA goes back to normal as soon as infection is resolved. This time I have visible pus around the cath tube.
I was prescribed Septra twice a day. Any harm in increasing to three or four a day for the first couple days?
