Is It Safe To Jet Ski Despite Of Having Swollen Ear Drum?

2 weeks ago my son was slapped on his ear and at ER the MD said his ear drum membrane was swollen and to avoid water going inside. Tomorrow he has a birthday party and they re going to go jetsking in a lake. Can he go since its been 2 weeks or wait longer?

ENT Specialist 's  Response

Hi,

Welcome to HCM,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

In my opinion, he has to protect his ear from water for 1 month for proper healing.

with that, avoid consuming cold causing products- curd/ ice cream and chilled weather.

all the best, take care.
