Is It Safe To Put Olive Oil In Ears For Blocked Ears?
Hi Doctor I have ear wax blockage in my left ear, which is going to be irrigated on Tuesday. In the meantime I ve been told to put olive oil in my ears, which I ve been doing for ten days now, and my ears seem to only be getting worse. The tension is causing pain and giving me headaches (so I m now taking a lot of painkillers and will probably get a stomach ulcer but can get on with my job with a stomach ulcer, can t cope with migraine). Anyway, I m concerned, is it normal for the wax to simply stay blocked or even get worse when olive oil is being regularly applied? Also it smells completely repulsive, like something died in there. Is this normal with wax blockage?
