Is It Safe To Remove Kidney For Low Urine Output In A Person With Stage 4 Colon Cancer?

Hi, My mom is a stage four colon cancer patient with a colostomy bag, she has been in the hospital twice in the past 3 months for different things, the last one has me a little concerned, they had to catheter her due to low urine out put, she is unconfterble my question is because she is wanting them to remove it and since she only has one kidney that is functioning will she go into kidney failure

Low output urine suggests kidney failure. Removal of kidney may be necessary, however, after removal of kidney dialysis will be required.
