Is It Safe To Stop Taking Plavix And Aspirin For A While?

I'm 74 and am on Plavix 75 Mg and Aspirin 350 daily. I'm in great physical condition. I walk/run at least 2 times a week and work out at least 2 times a week.



I want to get a family crest tattoo on my shoulder. I haven't yet asked my cardiologist but have two questions:

1) Is it safe to go off the Plavix and Aspirin for a few days before getting the tattoo? OR

2) Would it be okay to get the tattoo knowing I may bleed a bit more and that the clotting may take place a bit slower?
