Is It Safe To Take 6 Hormone Tablets Everyday?

I am on thyronorm 25 mg. My cycle always have been of 31-32 days and off late it has gone to 32-35 days. I was trying since last december, however, it got interrupted due to hypothyroid. My TSH levels are normal now. My lmp is 27th december, 2011. I was on progynova 2 mg (twice daily) from Jan 5 onwards as my doctor said my endometrium was going slightly thinner (3.7mm on jan 5). After ovulation confirmation (by follicular study) on 16th, it was 9.7mm. However, my doctor told me to continue progynova and also added added duphastone (twice daily as well as susten 400 everyday before going to sleep). I want to know whether it is ok to take 6 hormone tablets everyday? or can I do away with duphastone and progynova and just take susten 400. Anamika.

Hello,

Is your menstrual cycle back after starting Progynova and Dufaston? What is the cause of amenorrhea? Did you check prolactin level?

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Mirjeta Guni, Endocrinologist
