Is It Safe To Take Aleve For Pain In Upper Chest Area?

Have pain in my upper left chest on and off and when I turn my head to the right, it makes it worse. My doctor checked vitals and said it could be inflammation around my heart and to take aleve for 10 days to see if pain YYYY@YYYY

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Noted you have chest pain while turning head to right....
ECG or echo done for rule out cardiac cause..
Your doctor suspecting cardiac infection so for that CRP done along with above investigation....
The drug you are using is naproxen which is antiinflammatory drug....

If no cardiac cause then it can be simply musculoskeletal pain...
Avoid strenous activity ...
Heavy weight lift avoided...
Rest done...
Hot pad can applied ...
