Is It Safe To Take Allopurinol And Omepral Along With Paracetamol And Codeine?
My father is on the following medications...Simvastatin, Allopurinol, Omepral, Aspirin, Diamicron & Arthrexin - which he has taken (approx 30 minutes ago). He is experiencing 5/10 shoulder pain - can he take Paracetamol with Codeine with these medications?

Hi,
There is no documented harmful interactions between allopurinol and omepral with paracetamol and codeine hence they may be taken together.
However the shoulder pain could be due to side effect of myopathy apparently caused by simvastatin.
Ask his doctor for an alternate effective but a safer medicine to lower his high blood cholesterol.
