Is It Safe To Take Amoxicilin 500 Mg Four Times A Day For Fever ?

Hello Doctors, I m 21 male, i am suffering for fever for past 3 days.. my body temperature is ranging from 37.7 degree celcius to 38.2 degree celcius, my family doctor told me to drink Amoxicilin 500mg capsules every 6 hours, so 4 times a day, for 4 DAYS.. is it ok? or is it too much? thanks...
