General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Any autoimmune disease can raise ESR. In your case you should titrate your Prednisolone dose according to your symptoms and try to keep it to minimum. Any increase or decrease in dose or complete weaning from the dose should be gradual in a tapering manner.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
