Is It Safe To Take Benedryl While On Codeine For Sinus Infection?

I have just been dx a sinus infection and given an anti biotic to take along with cough medicine/codeine at night time. I m wondering if i can still take my benedryl at night with that to help me sleep or is that dangerous to mix the two? Thanks so much for your help!

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Codeine is centrally acting cough suppressant and Benadryl is an expectorant, which would help you to expel the sputum out.
Hence, you should not mix the two medications.
Instead, you can take chlorpheniramine maleate tablet at night which is anti-allergic and also causes sedation.
