Is It Safe To Take Cytotec Despite Having Incomplete Abortion?

Hi please its been 8 days since i took cytotec to abort a pregnancy and i took an ultrascan today and the doctor said there are still some left overs (incomplete abortion). My question is, are all the left overs still going to all come out eventually? (I am still bleeding) Can i take another dose of cytotec to remove the rest of it? Or what do i do? Thanks would appreciate if you can help out.

Hello
Understand your concern
You have retain product/incomplete abortion after using cytotec. You can extra dose but under the observation of gynecologist as it cause complication like excessive bleeding and severe cramp.
But better is to go for surgical process like dilatation and evacuation as it is remove the retain product completely and chance of bleeding and failure is less. Follow up USG should be done after procedure to confirm the completeness of abortion process. Advice after procedure: rest, helthy diet with iron and vitamin supplements, choose contraception method, maintain pelvic hygiene to prevent infections
Hope this may help you
Best regards
