Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is It Safe To Take Diovan, Norvasc And Thiazide For High BP?
I was given 4 different types of BP lowering meds, each twice per day: 2 Diovan 160 mg, 2 Norvasc 5 mg, one Thiazide 12.5 mg. 2 Labeterol 100mg. Ques.1. That seems a lots, is it? 2. Should I space them out during the day so I don t take more than one at a time or should I take them together? I am afraid of lowering my pressure too much. it went down to 99/65 today and I felt extremely dizzy and weak. 3. I also thought of not taking them until my pressure starts to climb, is that a good way to handle them? 4. if I had to remove one, which would you recommend, not to use. The labeterol make me feel horrible when I take it. I had been taking Diovan for many years and ran out so got into trouble with high spiking pressures. Your help please. Thank you.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, looking to the hypertension you have in my opinion single drug would be enough to control this and no need to give multidrug regime for this, better to have word with your physician ( You have not mentioned your age and gender here else something more specific could have been thoughts ) hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
