Is It Safe To Take Duphaston For Bleeding During Pregnancy?
hi im currently at my 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant..i have been experiencing light to heavy bleeding for almost 4 days..i had an ultrasound last friday and results are good..closed cervix and fetal heart rate is 114bmp..my ob recommended me to take duphaston 2x a day..as of now bleeding almost subside..is it safe for the baby?..will it help my pregnancy to continue?..
Duphaston is a progesterone supplement used in the following conditions: 1) Irregular menses 2) Hormone replacement therapy 3) Threatened abortion 4) Infertility 5) Pain during menstruation 6) Premenstrual syndrome 7) Endometriosis
Thus it is very safe drug and helps in maintaining pregnancy. It doesn't affect the fetus. So just relax and take Duphaston.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
