Is It Safe To Take Eliquis To Treat Blood Clot From Groin To Knee?

I just found out I have a blood clot from my groin down past my knee on the right side. I m taking eliquis. How long does it take to get over a blood clot this big? I can tell the medicine is working my redness and some swelling is starting to go away.

Yes its a good anticoagulant (prevents platelte aggregation in body). It has a more benefit as a prophylaxis after surgeries to prevent a blood clot from forming. And also in conditons like atrial fibrillation.

You need to take it almost 10weeks. Dont miss even a single dose. Don't stop taking it immediately, otherwise it will cause more serious blood clots. Hope it helps you.
