I guess you are talking of
LEVOTHYROXINE . It would have been great had you posted your serum TSH and T3 and T4 values.
Levo-thyroxine is a medication which is prescribed to people with a
thyroid dysfunction where the person feels lethargic , start gaining weight , cannot tolerate cold, has constipation - these constellation are attributed to a term called
hypothyroidism.
With the intake of levo-thyroxine these symptoms start decreasing and the person feels better. Without the drug , he/she continues to have the symptoms and it can progress to having
high blood pressure , fluid accumulation in the covering of heart(
pericardial effusion) and many more.
It is not that harmful. You can safely take it in the dose as prescribed by your physician. There is nothing to worry.
