Is It Safe To Take Lithium Carbonate Oral Along With Atorvastatin Oral For Constipation?

Hi dear!

Thanks for consulting the Physicians at HealthCare Magic. I have worked through your case thoroughly, and I can easily realize your health worries. Being your physician, I reassure you not to worry as things will settle down very soon.
No lithium doesn't cause constipation. It also has no interaction with Atorvastatin. Although Lithium causes decreased renal clearance of some drugs for example Thiazide diuretics. Lithium also decreases the function of thyroid gland.
To my patients I suggest 4TSF Lactulose Syrup at night. I advise you also to take Plenty of fluids and high fiber diet. Take fruits and salads as much as u can. Do regular exercise also.
