Is It Safe To Take Lonart During Pregnancy?

Hello, my name is Jennifer, please i need your advice. I am seven weeks pregnant. I was diagnosed with malaria and my doctor prescribed Lonart. Do you think it is safe during the first trimester? Because I heard it is category c because they are unsure of the effect in first trimester of pregnancy. Help!

I really appreciate your concern, if it is confirmed malaria then it is very important to have this medicine least concern whether the medicine cause some side effect because if it is not being taken then malaria could be even more dangerous for both the mother and baby may be fatal some time so it is much more important to have the medicine regardless of it's side effect, but over all on practical basis anti-malarial dose not cause any bad or danger side effect both to mother and baby, hope this helps, take care and have a nice day.
