Is It Safe To Take Norethisterone While Taking Penicillin?

I am currently taking penicillin for a throat infection. I wish to start norethisterone 5mg (taking one tablet three times per day) to delay my period. Is this safe to do (in other words take the two medications together), and will the norethisterone still delay the period?
