Is It Safe To Take Oxylite With Degenerative Spine?

I am 63 and inactive due to arthritis and some degeneration in the spine. I do ride a recumbent bike and swim everyday one or the other. I am on a blood pressure and cholesterol pill. That is all. Would oxyelite be safe for me? My doctor keeps telling me it would be better for me to lose weight. 5'2" 168 pounds.
