Is It Safe To Take Rosuvastatin And Aspirin After Undergoing Angioplasty.
Hello Doctor,My husband who is 48 years old underwent an angioplasty 8 months back. in Dec-13. He has two stents in his heart. Since then he is taking 1) Prasugrel 10 mg one tab a day 2) Rosuvastatin 20mg + Asprin 150mg 1capsule a day. Both these tabs are taken at night along with Feburic 40 to control uric acid. My question is are these tablets causing side effects like joint pains & stiffness of back & shoulder muscles ? He has pain everyday & just bearing with it all the time. Please tell me. Thanks in advance.

Rosuvastatin can cause skeletal muscle pain but its incidence is as low as one percent .
You should check with your cardiologist and ask for a suitable repkacement .
