Is It Safe To Take Silicon Oxide Used In Supplements?

Hello,Should I be worried about the silicon oxide that s put into supplements? I have been crushing magnesium tablets because they re hard to swallow and have been worried about breathing in the dust. Is this type of silica the safe non toxic type? Thanks,Seb.

The silicon oxide in supplements are safe as taken under medical supervision in prescribed dosage guidelines. However, following are the salient side effects of the Silicon oxide, which should be discussed with treating Physician before commencing the therapy such as:
- Low hemoglobin
- Blood clots
- Chest pain
- Fatigue
- Fever and malaise
- Arthralgia
