Is It Safe To Take Veltam For Enlarged Prostate And Mild Pain During Urination?

I am Haris . I am 56 years old . I have a Problem of enlarge prostate 37 g . That why flow of urine is slow . I feel mild pen when urinating . Post void urine is 16 ml . PSA level is 1.26 . My Dr advised me to use veltam 0.4 mg . Is this medicine help me to solve my problem ?

Hi,

Yes, it may be taken safely for an enlarged prostate. Veltam is an alphar-1a adrenergic receptor blocker commonly prescribed to treat the symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate.

It acts by decreasing the urine outflow resistance thus found to be useful in such cases.
