Is It Safe To Take Venlafaxine Instead Of Premarin?

I received a notification from my insurance company that Premarin is no longer covered by my insurance in spite of the letter I provided from my Menopause Physician, they recommened Venlafaxine HCL ER. I already take Cymbalta and I don't understand why I would be provided with an alternative of another anti-depressant.
