Is It Safe To Take Zyrtec For Small White Bumps At Back Of Throat?

Hi my name is eric and am 25 years old, I have been having really bad allergies and am taking zyrtec. I have notticed that I have small, white bumps at the back of my throat. My throat itiches sometimes but doesnt hurt at all. I was wondering if it could be caused by the drainage I am getting from allergies or be an infection. I dont think I am running a fever and my lymph nodes do not feel swollen. Do I need to get it checked out?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Zyrtec is an antihistamine.
It will relieve the itching in the throat.
The small white bumps are probably related to an infection which needs to be evaluated by an ENT specialist.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
