Is It Safe To Take Care Of Cancer Patient During Pregnancy?

Hi, I am 5 months pregnent woman and my mother in law is suffering form cancer and on the last stage. She is on bed and i am taking care for her. I need to ask if their is any possibility that this may infect my baby, or the baby will have any type of infection with this desis.

Hello,
You cannot contract the disease as it is not infectious. If there are any procedures performed on the patient that involve radiation, you should be away from them. Also, you should take care that you do not stress yourself unduly as you also need to rest at least two hours in the day and eight hours in the night as much as possible in the left lateral position so as to allow better placental perfusion. Furthermore, you can also consult your health care provider for more suggestions. Hope this helps.
