Dear Madam
Thanks for writing to us.
Carvedilol is a combined beta-blocker and meant to control heart rate in patients with atrial fibrillation (most common cause of chronic persistent irregular heart beat). This medicine will help in reducing heart rate. However like all other medicines in English system, it also has its share of side effects. Most of the times patient do not experience any side effect because incidence of side effects is never more than 0.5-3%. If your physician has advised it, do take it and report anything unusual to him.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder
